Throw the rulebook out the window. Austin Poetry Slam is back with the Anarchy Slam , a night where the traditional constraints of performance poetry disappear, and chaos takes center stage. Hosted by the legendary Mr. Dave , this is not your average open mic. The "Rules" (Or Lack Thereof) In a typical slam, you can’t use props, music, or costumes. At the Anarchy Slam, we say: do it all.

• PROPS? Pack your trunk.
• ANIMALS? Unleash the beast.
• MUSIC? Bring the whole band.
• STOLEN WORDS? If you didn’t write it, we don’t care—just perform it better than the original. THE ONLY REMAINING RULE: You have 3 minutes and 10 seconds . Why? Because we love chaos, but we also love our beds.
